be better than having to go in your garden. What do you expect them to do?

I would never ever take a dump in a clients loo. Drive down to the servo.

When we moved houses last year, one of the movers forced open our toilet window, took a dump, and left skid marks in the bowl. I was at the other house so found it when I went back to the house. I was so pissed off as there is a fan in that toilet, and the toilet brush was still in the toilet and the arsehat just left his mess and the window open. Then I found they left without packing any of the toilets or bathrooms. I don’t mind if people dump in the toilet, just clean the frigging toilet FFS.

Disgusting.

what #3 says-this has been the only tradie to do so-the others have taken a drive to town to do it

the less piggish tradies are now bringing in porto loos for jobs longer than a week. Now you still have to listen to their crap, and smell their crap, but at least you don't have to clean up their crap.

I let the tradies on the building site next door use my outside toilet for a few years. They plumbed in their own water supply. I suppose I'd better disconnect the water pipe now the house has been sold!

Not on. I am a builder and my boys do not even poo during the day. They get rather "shitty" when a subby poos in their portaloo. It's not hard to train your body to be regular.

Rude? when you have to go, you have to go. Would you prefer he A)drive to the nearest town centre to find a loo, being gone for ages or B)use your garden

We've been doing a major reno for a year now, at first the tradies used the old loo, then once bathrooms were done the builders asked if i wanted to get a port a loo in. I said nup, im sure you're all house trained. Not one tradie has ever left a mess, they have all cleaned up after themselves and to be honest i don't even know if they poo lol

Yes I'd expect them to use my loo, but I'd also expect them to be civilised about it, i.e. not tracking mud through the house, put the fan on and open the window, clean up any crime scene created.
I'd also supply them with tea, coffee, water and maybe a snack if the job took a few hours. Most tradies seem to be self-sufficient but seem to appreciate being offered. The way I see it I'm their employer for a short time, you have to expect to provide the human basics.

Hey guys can you please complete this, short, anon, quiz on house hold chores. You can view the results after you finish it!
I poo at 6.30 every morning. Have done so since i started work in 1985 and we had no toilets on the building sites. My boys who work for me are the same. They hate it when the stopper arrives at work and the first thing he does is have a crap. And then then leaves the seat up. And its healthy for your body to be regular.

Why am I a dork? I didn't know that being regular made someone a dork.

Funnily enough I have noticed that it is mainly the guys on wages who have to crap during the day. Strange that.

Im a builder. Had a guy working for me many years ago, would turn up to work a couple of minutes late, and take a dump inside the owners house, EVERY MORNING. Would not have a cutesy flush! My boys and I, out back building this huge cattery, could smell the stink. That is with him downstairs, in a two story house, and back door closed. Most revolting disgusting thing ever. Owners never complained. This incidentally happened EVERY DAY for three months.

You'r a dork because you have made an unscientific assessment that because you are morning regular, everyone else must be as well. Many people have IBS, crohns, diverticulitus just to name a few and all these afflictions play havoc with your regularity

So every tradesperson has these conditions? I would hate to employ you if you think it is ok to stink out a clients house at every opportunity you can. You sound like a very self centered and selfish person. I have respect for my clients and I expect my staff to be the same. Stinking out a someones house is not showing respect. If we are working at an occupied house and any of my boys were caught short I would rather they drive to a public loo.

I'm with survivalkiwi. It is the minority that have health issues. If a worker arrives on the jobsite everyday, and goes for a dump straightaway, then he is going regularly and could just as easily do it before leaving home.
One of my health professionals told me that for good health, ideally, you should go within 30 minutes of getting out of bed in the morning.
Only in an emergency would we dump in anyone else's house - and even then, we'd be meticulous in leaving no trace.

What was more of an issue for me was the 2 neighbours both getting their houses fixed and the tradies had no toilet, I got sick of telling them to pee in the garden of the house they were working on and not to pee on my place, I gave up and let them use the loo in my garage, and no one left a mess, but it shouldnt have to become my problem, and I dont get why their boss didnt supply a portaloo.
