Not true at our place. Next door neighbour has it and our chooks scratch under the fence and drag it through. And now it's coming up everywhere in our orchard! Continual spraying will kill it.

Rake it up into mounds and cover it with black plastic or grass clippings or whatever, it does tend to rot down somewhat in the absence of light. Then keep pulling out any bits you missed. We have heaps of the stuff, you can never get rid of it, but a periodic rake-up and long term perseverance does tend to suppress it a bit. Trouble is nothing much else grows in the shade to compete with it, not enough light for grass growth

Yuck! I don't know if it's poisonous but I know it can give dogs a rash if they come in contact with it.
