Sorry to disagree but that is not completely true. Yes the cheaper brands all have the same wash pumps but the pumps are cheap to buy. Around $110. So with labour -Less than an hour to instal the new pump - Job done for under $200. Don't know of any dishwashers for sale at $200. I am a service person too.

Yes, I thought that it was quite expensive. I spoken to Customer care at Electrolux (that makes Westinghouse) about my dishwasher. They said to send in a repair report on how much ect and a receipt. So I got a hold on the repair man and got him to send it though email for me, it turned out that it was round about $50 cheaper then he quoted. What a rip off he is. He was from Independent Services in Wellington. So even though I ran around to get a good price to get my Dishwasher look at ,it still did not save me money in the end.
I am waiting for what the Electrolux Company is going to about my dishwasher. I hope that they will do something about it, and help us out.
I let you know. Thanks

The Customer care has contacted me and they said that they will send the repair man to our place to do some more testing to my Dishwasher after Christmas and that they will be paying for it. So it is a good outcome at the moment. Watch this space.
Hope that you all have a great Christmas and a happy New year.

I bought a Dishlex and 5 year warranty. I think we had it serviced maybe 11 times in the 5 years. Four times had to take it away, one time came back with the front cracked. Then 4 months after warranty it broke down again and serviceman said it would be hundreds to fix. So ours has sat there under the bench silent for the last few years. Can't find many Dishlex in NZ now. Good.
