With the path there it does look rather obvious and those latches are hardly a brain teaser, must be something wrong with your meter reader!

We had one of those catches on our front gate when I was a kid, it was there as far back as I can remember, and I don't remember ever having a problem with it, whether I was going out the gate or coming home.

Not much you can do I'm afraid, meter readers sometimes fall into the category of total retards .and before anyone squeals about it this is the voice of experience.I used to work at a metering company and heard countless stories of what the meter readers had done .

i could find it as soon as the picture loaded . i dont have a university degree either . does the same meter person comeeach time ! i would put a nice sign or possibly the house number in front of it and thats as far as i would go . i do love the design of your gate very nice indeed well done!

There is nothing fancy about that catch,it is a standard gate catch found on 90% of gates.

Just ring the power company and tell em that you wont be paying unless they get the meter reader some glasses.Quite frankly retard is far to generous a description for someone that stupid that they cant find a gate catch.

The problem is with the meter reader so make it become the power company's problem -they employ him its time they made him earn his wages.

I'd be more concerned about the meter readers ability to get an accurate reading of yourmeter if he has difficulty in using your simple gate latch.It implies the power co only employ those with the lowest IQ, the lower the better it seems.
