Don't bother with comfrey-it's an invasive pest-worse even than dock! If you wish to have plant "tea' then use whatever foliage you have handy. It will be no better or worse than comfrey. The supposed benefits of comfrey over and above other plants is pure dogma with no basis in fact whatsoever!

Thank you tattoojules, but I only have one of those disabled persons scooters,so have to stay close to home.

steptoesnr Sounds like you have a nasty experience.
I have just made some pain relief and healing salve with comfrey, I gathered yesterday, and I doubt one could get the same pain relieve with any weeds, I make several types of fertilizer teas and I can see a difference in potatoes and tomatoes I have used comfrey tea on.
Thanks for your warned anyway, but its too late, I'm going to have comfrey coming up all over the show in a few months. :)

Hi, Does anyone have comfrey growing that they wouldn't mind it I cut some, or know where there is come growing wild. I live near the corner of Stanmore Road and North Avon, and it has to be somewhere I can get to on my mobility scooter.
I have some cuttings just started growing, but its going to be a while before they have enough leaves, could do with more cutting too, if you have a big area growing, I wanted some leaves for comfrey tea for my plants.

Avebury house community centre in Richmond is full of comfrey in its extensive gardens.
