I have one with no suspension and the wheels right at the back which can only take light loads, but I'm in Cashmere.
For the hassle of driving all the way to the other side of town, you might be better off hiring one from the petrol station, or just buy something large from mitre 10, bunnings or a landscaping place and get a free loan trailer.

My one doesn't currently have a WOF so you might be better to hire one, or get one from Mitre10/Bunnings.
