Yes, we will double their run and let them out maybe for only an hour each evening. Tonight I cooked them up some sauages from the neighbour's freezer. They gobbled the whole lot, and their crops were as big as tennis balls, but STILL they're rotary-hoeing the perennials! On the upside - we got three eggs again today, one of them at least a seven. Good girls!

Frogs appearing from nowhere a few months after we made a fish pound, how did they know ?

How do they know, I don't know . I guess it's instinct, they smell the water perhaps?

Yep, how lucky! Most people have to go and buy stock!

I was given some tadpoles once & put them in with my three goldfish anticipating some frogs around & never saw them again . I thought the goldfish had eaten them, but about a year later I found a little frog (probably a whistler) latched one to my french doors . so hopefully that was one that survived.
I live rurally & would love some frogs to appear in my pond.
