Need a bookshelf made - any recommendations?

Hi there! Been searching for a character wooden bookshelf for quite some time now without much luck.
Decided it might be better to commission a carpenter to do the actual work itself. Who would you recommend in the Franklin/south Auckland area please?
Many thanks!

I'd approach your local "Menzshed' group. (Google).

I'd be surprised if there wasn't someone there who could help you out for a donation?

If it is a simple design most timber suppliers will cut to length for you for a small charge and sell you everything you need to assemble it yourself. And if that's too hard, there's always the bricks and planks idea to fall back on!

Thank you all - much appreciated!

Are you talking about a simple wooden shelf on a wall or do you mean an actual cabinet with several shelves?

Thinking a three shelf bookshelf for the wall. Quite simple. Made with some character wood.

As my wife says, wouldn't trust myself with any DIY.

Mitre 10 have wooden floating shelves. There are no fittings showing, it all happens behind the back edge of the shelf.
The shelf itself has holes drilled into it, and 'prongs' fit into the holes to hold it up.
We have a white version that is similar, but the shelf is held up with an inconspicuous bracket that has a space incorporated that the shelf fits into, and is screwed to make it secure
