Is my plasterboard is a bracing element?

Is there an easy way to tell if the plasterboard in my house is a bracing element? Not sure if this helps, but it was constructed in the 1960s, brick veneer with timber framing and has never been relined.

We have just repaired our Chch home, where we didnt have to put bracing in the corners, the rest of the walls just had to have extra screws placed in a grid pattern in the existing plaster board. I would think a builder could tell you based on the date your house was built.

NO. I don't think plasterboards were used as bracing in the 60s.
