Dish Freeview box not working although the ‘on’ light is green there are no signals in the window. Any advice please?

First of all check the connections. Then turn off and let rest for a couple of minutes. Make sure the batteries in the remote are OK so you can go through all options. Failing that, contact Dish TV, who have had good reports about their customer service.

There's a good chance that you have a faulty capacitor in the internal power supply. I've seen the problem before. It should be fixable, but not necessarily economically.
