Who seems to think is great fun to rip out my plants in the garden. Assuming they eventually stay in and grow, what suggestions apart from slug bait to keep the slimy beasts off the plants (apart from the obvious being a fence). Is a raised garden, and this pup, so when not digging in it, is likely to eat anything including the slug bait, so after something non-toxic

There is a Quash, pet safe slug bait. You truly wouldn't want to risk the normal sort! Quash works just as well.

Quash available at most hard ware shops? He likes carrots to.

A beer trap but then he might try to drink it.

How about a bit of decent dog training - or is she such a cuddly wee thing that you don't wish to teach her how to behave and are happy to let her do whatever she chooses?

hadn't heard of quash, must look for it, we have a curious dog who might take a nibble of slug bait if given the chance

I always found that by fencing off the parts of our garden I did not want our pets in worked well for us.

If you were to pick up some small square mesh chicken wire you could make covers for the garden beds pretty cheaply - they will not only keep the pup out, but also the white butterflies and birds who are quick to claim your veges. I use quash, but only under cover like this as I have cats and dogs and just don't want to take the risk that mine might be the animals to react to the slug bait.

Apparently salt kills them. Would have to put it in some sort of container as it is not good for your garden. Could kill of your plants to. Containers of beer would catch a few.

your cheapest and most obvious option is called a dog chain and some training before its too late, your pup needs to know the boundaries of what is acceptable and whats not.
