I had sellotape on aluminium windows and after removing it have been left with a residue which I cannot remove has anyone else had this problem and what did you do to remove it.

De-Solv-it is the best option. But you could try rubbing with something oil based. Try giving it a good rub with some Peanut Butter.

WD40 is the best for masking tape residue on aluminium so should be good for sellotape.

Was always a bottle of eucalyptus oil in the house for this very reason growing up.

Petrol. A dab on a rag will remove almost any glues made & not harm most surfaces. As per normal for ANY glue remover, test on a hidden spot 1st

Me too, eucalyptus works great on lots of sticky stuff, also find alcohol good if strong enough (60%+, i have home brew stuff at 88% here = 176 proof, works good).
