Digital Tape Measure

I see on tv an ad for a digital tape measure. it is the “but wait there is more . ” crowd. . “Buy one get one free”, “not available in the shops” etc etc but as usual they tell you everything you would want to know about the item except the price. anybody know the price ?

The tv one had a few more “wizz bang” features. it had a roller ball type mechanism which allowed you to measure a curved surface etc.

Read the reviews, as usual it's low quality, flimsy crap.
Buy a real one, they copy better products.

I bought a cheap digital calliper - unreliable. If you need fine accurate readings, pay the $$$ and get a good one. lythande1 is right, read the reviews first!

Yes. Amazon / Aliexpress have them for about NZ$25.00. would be interesting to see how much the "as seen on TV" crowd have them for, I suspect that it would be 2x or 3x more than that. A dead give away of a crap product is "buy one get one free" that they are offering, but of course 2 x handling fee, which tend to be over the top !
As suggest may give the item a wide berth.

I phoned the 0800 number and they called back 2 hours later to tell me it is $150.00 incl. P & P. It took me a forced hang up to get the "Not first language English" to stop trying to get me to sign up. LOL

'buy one, get one free' means that it is over-priced by, at least, 100%.

Have to agree here, cheap rubbish, buy a decent one that will last, well worth the expense. I do not trust those "infomercials" at all.

Yes infomercials stuff is generally over priced crap that even The Warehouse, K Mart or similar would not stock.
“Not available in stores” also means over priced crap.
