Try spraying aphids with soapy water. 20ml dishwashing liquid made up to a litre of water.

'Fraid so. The buggers survived the banana peel mulch, so I squished them.
The peels are still good for them, food wise.

Yes, the surfactant that makes it sticky - the soaps - coat the bees and they can't breathe. Digital squish - very satisfying, and the green gloop washes off.

I wish I could find something to fight the Evil Bugs on the swan plants. I had mine already growing beautifully at the end of last season, a greenhouse full, and the bugs got them all. $$$$$ wasted and no baby food for the cats this spring.
