A big woodworking shop may be able to do it for you, as long as you can guarentee, on pain of death, that the slab does not have any nails, buried bits of fencing wire etc etc. If your slab puts a “gap†in their very very very expensive planner blades, you will complete ruin their day, if not week !

Good idea, I have done that. But have a dust extractor and or a dust mask.
