Due to being away last year for 3 months, I planted a lot of parsley plants along the drive about 4 metres long. Upon returning I was amazed at how bushy and well they were. Planted in Nov. Now being July, they are still looking great, and have made a kinda small hedge.about 12 ins high. Will they be ok to just leave, no sign of any seeding.put parsley in almost everything savoury.

You could always pick some, wash, make into long tubes, gladwrap, and freeze. What I do so it's on hand all year round. Just shave it off frozen and use as needed. Don't tend to find mine lasts as long as yours has; must like where it is!

It will probably go to seed all of a sudden & I'd let it seed. What I've done with Italian parsley is to cut some plants back (not too far) & they give me more fresh leaves, until the new lot is ready . like you, I can't get by without parsley (or lemons)

It is a great year for lemons.

Parsley is biennial, but best treated as an annual

Parsley is a weed. It will self seed if you leave them, they can spread quite far, we had one on one side of section, new plants popped up on the other, under lemon tree.
But it's a good weed, won't take over like mint.

It depends on what you mean by a weed. I love my parsley, it can self seed all it likes, and when I need some I just wander around the garden until I find a good patch.

I have a similar situation. I trim some back quite hard which keeps it producing longer, and the rest I let go to seed.

If you have heaps then you may find a local deli or supermarket to sell it too. This is what my Mum does

Has it ever. Down here I have to keep the water up to my lemon tree . not this season & now I have lemons for Africa . it's great to offer big bags of them to mates.
