If its Onehunga weed, should have been sprayed in October, before it flowers and sets seed. Spraying now , will kill, but if they have seeded, you will still get prickles in your feet till the weed dies out.

It is Onehunga - thought they had been sprayed but all the kids are getting prickles.

Boiling water will kill them within a day, but if they have prickles, they will remain. Best thing is to spray in early spring, and do it more than once. Also visually check the lawn on a regular basis, as more prickles get brought in from street berms and school playgrounds on the soles of shoes.

Give your lawn another good spraying now,it has been a funny season,and it has been hard to get a kill on alll sorts of weeds.use Turfix,Lawnmaster or Banvine,the spray must contaik Dicamber as Onehunga has developed a resistance to all other sprays.

I had patches showing up earlier in the season, had no problem with Prickle Weed Killer dealing to them
