LED downlights blowing prematurely

My LEDs were getting so hot that I put a fan in to cool them, and that worked very well. However I had 120 LEDs in a small space!

When are you going to buy my auction? :)

I tried some (err unknown brand LED lamps) to replace dicroics. NOT saying where. and they ALL exploded instantly. AND NO, I'm an electrician and they were rated fine, It was quite funny really but I feel sorry for people who buy house lots. Man, they were junk.

Yes the SMD ones do get very hot.

So is that fan sucking or blowing? Where does the air get in/out?

The fan sucks air from behind the headlamp and blows it through the copper heatsink
