LMAO . ummm yea $12 .what did you expect . fully water tight & submersible.
Cheap often means you do some "extra care & attention"to the installation, instead of the manufacture doing it & charging the extra $$

Took our second set of Elite back to Bunnings.
First lasted 6 months, 2nd fail out of the box.
Bunnings Henderson said they won't be stocking them anymore - too many returns.

Trying HPM now.

Just the name would be enough to put me off. It's like when companies print the word 'professional' on their goods.
Any 'professional' equipment or tools designed for 'professionals' never has the word 'professional' on it. It's a sure giveaway that it's cheap.

Someone I know installed two sets of the cheap china sensor lights and so far one of them has stopped working, the other one is still functioning ok so as someone mentioned above, it's luck of the draw with this cheap junk.
