Installing a UHF aerial

was wondering what's involved, how much labour, and anyone you could recommend in the West Auckland area.I don't currently have a TV aerial on my roof, the reception is really good and rabbit aerial has sufficed but I now need to upgrade to the digital era and need/want to buy new TV and I'm gueesing that's going to involve cabling and cutting holes etc

If you've got good reception now on rabbit ears, then freeview on a new TV should work just fine with rabbit ears.

Well I would certainly try the Rabits Ears first with the new tv before buying the UHF aerial however there will be people on here that willl tell you the picture is crap - but if it suits you then just ignore them.

We have recently used a reliable and well priced TV technican called Peter Goodson based in Glen Eden.Called "TV Reception Company".

If you get a new digital TV with built in freeview and only auto tune in the digital channels, you'll be able to tell if your rabbit ears give a good enough reception.

With digital there is no issues with picture quality you will either have picture or not so give it a go with your bunny ears and see what happens.

Our bunny ears were a bit hit and miss (didn't get TV3) so we got a amplifier thing like this for $50:

Gives us all the Freeview channels now.
