See what your local hire place has to hire with a similar power.
Try a hire machine to see what works on your vegetation.

Thanks for the links, yes I have seen them. Just like to hear user experience. My hire place only has larger models

I have the c7 and am extremely happy with it .I am sure the smaller one is just as good but i guess just has a smaller capacity although they do say 40mm but anything over that makes good firewood.
you wont regret the brand

Thanks for the further comments.
I saw both in the flesh today, the c7 certainly has everything over the c4 by the look of it. Looks like a tangle in the 4 would be an issue to clear compared to the 7.

We have put a few hundred hours on our c6's and c7's. At times I feel guilty for the beating they have taken. (3 guys force feeding one for 6 hours is pretty hard work for any machine)
They have been incredibly reliable and really punched above there weight. Our first one was still going great but a near new one came up cheap so I gave it to my dad. now have a c6 and c7, Not alot of difference between the two but they both do very well.

I bought a Hansa C7 to replace an old Rover machine I had. It does the job in a fraction of the time of the old machine with fair less hassle, starts 1st time etc and even shreds stuff I couldn't put through the Rover with ease.

Thanks exwesty, sounds like the one.
