Are you sure a circuit breaker hasnt popped? The switch lever on them is up in the on position.

Check the handbook if it is that new.

jacqui248, Jun 4, 3:14am
circuit breaker? on the mains thing you mean? yip checked them all.

macman26, Jun 4, 4:06am
A year old. Contact the seller/ agent and get it repaired under warranty.

jacqui248, Jun 4, 4:13am
WELL i found the reciept and would you believe 12 mth warranty and i bought 31/5/14, so its 3 days out! OF course it is!

koru67, Jun 4, 4:15am
it doesn't have a "child lock" type function, accidentally activated?

monsieurl, Jun 4, 4:54am
You are still covered through the CGA here's a wee C&P from consumer affairs page :)

**Do I need an extended warranty?
Before you buy an extended warranty, it??

sonja2, Jun 4, 7:25am
I would certainly expect them to fix it for you. Before you contact them though. did you check the trouble shooting guide they have in the back of the operating manual? Just wondering if you have triggered a child safety lock or some other exciting new- fangled thing that my old stove does not have?

rotormotor7, Jun 4, 1:32pm
could be isolator on wall is bung.sparky can check that easy enough.

omamari, Jun 4, 1:55pm
I'm voting for a child lock being activated

jacqui248, Jun 4, 2:05pm
nope its not the lock, this when on still makes a sound if you push otehr buttons this is totally dead like no power nd yes checked the book

jacqui248, Jun 4, 11:24pm
heard back from warranty people. They are asking for more info, jsut a Q though, should i have been issued a code of compliance/electrical safety cert after this was installed by electricians as i cannot see one here in my paperwork.

sonja2, Jun 5, 3:50am
I am guessing you should ring your electrician about now - he will have a copy of the compliance cert, and also be about to answer any other questions.

d.snell, Jun 5, 3:55am
It should have an isolating switch. Quite often on the wall in the pantry or similar. Check that hasn't been switched off by accident.

ryanm2, Jun 5, 1:56pm
Was there an existing hob? If your new hob was simply replacing another hob there would have been no requirement for a COC . Possibly an ESC may have been issued.

jacqui248, Jun 5, 2:32pm
thanks Ryan. yes the new hob is in place with same wiring as old oven. anyway i contacted electrician and asked him for something and he is coming to have a look this morning to make sure it not the wiring b4 I call on the warranty

They cannot opt out of the CGA. Info or no info.
