Normally it's a job I'd do myself but I'm overcome with work so I dropped off the saw to the local Makita agents about 10am. and around 3.30pm they phoned to say it's finished.

Wow! You don't get that kind of response from your budget tool supplier. I couldn't pick it up today so don't have an invoice yet, but the service speed is impressive.

The saw is just under nine years old., and although some will argue what brands are quality - I'll still parrot that no one ever regretted buying it (edit: quality that is)

The invoice from the Makita agent (supply and fit new bearings) was $87.

Certainly is. I would have thought a bit more than that. Looks like you are going to have a new feeling saw for around $150, incl the blades. Nice
