Can anyone id these berries?

I recently found this plant growing up my back fence. When I bought the property 7 years ago I planted a few things down there but can't remember exactly what. I planted Brambles & Elderberry down there for sure but thought they died in the drought a few years ago.

This plant has the scariest thorns I've ever seen on anything that isn't a cactus and bright red berries. I have a toddler so if I can't be sure the berries aren't poison I'll remove the plant.

As above. Friend has one and her dog loves eating the berries and he is fine, google pyracantha and see if poisonous. The birds adore the berries too, great food source for them. The plant looks particularly attractive when the berries are out, can get a yellow and orange variety too. They make a great hedge if you don't want intruders over your back fence lol.

Thanks everyone, it does look like it. I have no idea where it's come from but will leave it be.
