I'm looking for a delta delta 33KV/110vdc transformer to run my dishwasher. Any one got one lying about? Needs to have a 12volt ac centre tap for the shaving outlet in my bathroom. Gad this is the maddest thread Ive seen, but damn interesting. Got me thinking and Ive been an electrician for a long time!

The average electrician would probably not get to wire up power stations or nuclear accelerators or work on 100 year old vehicles that much.
It looks like 600V DC systems can operate at between 400V to 600V., so the 460V you are looking for should run the compressor ( or the motor at least)

The motors on test will not have any load, so they should run OK.

Definitely a wind up. As you can't get DC out of a normal (coils of wire) transformer. And even if you could you have to have AC to be able to get Delta type outputs.
