Nikau palms

I have 2 growing very close to my brick wall.Someone has mentionedthat these are not good for the foundation of the wall.Can anyone confirm this for me pl!ShallI dig them out, they are not too big at the moment.

these do get very big so i would be aware , replant them somewhere else as they are beautiful

If you did them out you have a 99% mortality rate with Nikau species .if you do not know what you are doing.

no plants should be growing close to the base of the house not only because of roots but moisture retention around building l etc.
if small dig them out and relocate them and keep them watered, their ultimate size is 10mso not really suitable up against the house.
doesnt have to be a mortality rate of 99" if you dont damage the end of the base of the plant, you may be fine if they are small

They have a very deep main root, if you cut it while digging it's game over. Wouldn't move them in the heat of summer any.
