Has anyone tried Archgola? Im wondering if they would be cheaper that a timber pergola for my deck. I'd probably want about1.5m x 8m and my builder quited about $2500 for a timber pergola.

We have had Shades Direct on both this and our previous house - absolutely great, well made and cheaper than the Archgola equivalent. Thoroughly recommend them.

In Wellington the Archgola franchise is a laugh because it is so badly run. A timber framed Deck cover will cost about half of what an Archgola costs. It will also use better materials. We found a builder who designed one to fit our property and we used better materials than the similar sized Archgola. For instance we found a btter roofing product - 5 rib (Alysynite) than Archgola uses. Quoted cost for the Archgola was $8000 approx and our builder did it for $3000 + materials

Presuming that the + materials didnt cost more than $1000 that would be a good price

Wgtn Achigola wouldn't even quote us because we are in Coasal D (ie near the sea)

lissie The Wgtn franchise of Archgola is divided into to two. The one that operates on the Kapiti coast is the better one

I suspect you dont need one if the structure is under 20sq m

Attached to a building, altering the waterproof membrane (by attaching it - drilling holes etc)
