Paver templates.

Does anyone know where I'd find something like this template, or similar, please.

Thanks for help.

Hi. thanks for that. I searched for paver templates and concrete templates, didn't think of cobblestones. thanks :-)

I'll be doing a variety of areas of different sizes - paths, under the clothesline, where I keep my trailer, outside three exterior doors from bathroom, laundry and the end of the hall - new house. I'll use a trailer load (or few) of builder's mix, bags of cement, and borrow my friends concrete mixer.

I saw one photo online where the pavers once dried were set into the lawn and levelled with it, then grass sown to grow up in the line-gaps - and the whole thing mown over. Might suit in front of where I've built a 20m long raised garden.

The listing includes 'Step 3: Leave mould in concrete for a few minutes, then carefully lift out. ' - so would be a fairly quick, repetitive process. might need someone to help with the 'Step 4: Smooth edges to get the desired finish' while I poured more mix into the mould. Don't think I'd need a workout afterwards!

What are you doing?

no no, that listing assumes you are using bagged quick setting concrete! if your making your own mix up you'll have to wait until it firms up before removing the template.

When I poured concrete edging around a raised bed I waited one day before very carefully removing the framework then moving onto the next section, assume this would be similar. Might be quicker to get two templates?

Yes you're right. two would be better - wondered about making some with timber too, in different shapes. maybe a hexagon. would be easy to make and give some more shape options.

Try searching for " moulds " instead of templates.

Thanks Ebygum. wow, that brings up a lot of options. thanks for the info. :-)

what ever pavers you use ,you should have a good compacted base to lay them on. I have one of those moulds you have shown. its a slow job, if you only have one mould, I use a two sand, two gravel ,one cement mix, I also use coloured oxide, mix in a wheel barrow , if only using the one mould.

You also might want to search under "mold". Either spelling might be used depending on if American or English conventions are being used by the writer.

I'd be a little concerned that you'd end up with variations in color. Which, if you were making individual stones wouldn't be a big deal, just scatter them around randomly. But in this situation you'd have large areas of lighter and darker colors.
