Did you get it from The Treeguys! They have taken my order and will be ready in the 2013 season. Lets hope yours goes purple in the winter.

From a UK nursery page: "A dense, dwarf evergreen shrub, Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Tom Thumb' has lovely, wavy young leaves which emerge as a pale green colour and turn a deep, rich-purple as they mature in early summer. Although grown primarily for the foliage, occasional purplish flowers can appear in early summer." They also say it's easily damaged or killed by winter cold.
