Any other decent answers?

We bought one that emitted a high frequency noise. We gave it to our neighbours to prevent our cats from pestering their birds in an outdoor aviary, but it didn't work. Then we read the small print which said that it was less effective on "exotic" breeds, such as Burmese. We swapped it for the deluxe model, as suggested by the manufacturer, and that didn't work either. We tried it out by turning the volume to maximum while the cats were in the room and they didn't even wake up! They were not cheap devices, probably around $200 I seem to remember.

I bought one on tm so i could stop a dog from lunging my fenceline and trying to come over, but it was uselless on dogs, but cats a different story, so it works beaut on the meandering whinging toms in the neighbourhood, when i first used it on the dog my cat that was about 10 metres away did a back flip and vomitted, so affected her. I make sure they are inside now, when warding off any strays.

I asked this question a couple of weeks ago and got very little response.
this is the one I was looking at, https://www.easytek.co.nz There are very good recommendations on the site but I don't know anyone who has used one.

Can you remember the name of that one please?

We have had one of these for a week. I turned it off yesterday as I was working in the veg garden & it kept clicking all the time. Then I forgot to turn it back on & guess what ? cat paws over the newly dug garden. So will be checking tomorrow as I have dug more ground & will try to report here when I remember.
Our neighbour has one & he is pleased with his so that why I bought one.

A robot dog?

No cats visited last night & there is a large area of newly dug soil which would be right up their alley! [excuse the pun]
