Help with a lamp plug fix

undecyded, Jul 10, 1:02am
Hey there!

Not sure if anyone is able to help me but my son tripped over the cord to my floor lamp I am redoing and has managed to pull the wires clean out of the socket, the cord only has 2 wires which are connected by 2 screws anyone know which wire goes where or am I destined to pay a electrician to connect two wires? Prior to purchase it was inspected by an electrician and the wiring is good.

Wires go on the top two terminals marked A and N.
Usually it doesn't matter which way around, unless there is a off/on switch in the cable, or if the lamp has a screw in bulb.

If there is a switch, the wire which is switched must go on the top left (A) terminal.

Accidents will continue to happen with that figure 8 trurip style cable. It may be that you have to replace it with a new cable with an outer sheath ie a round cable.
