A little creek running through the Reserve at back of my place has arctotis growing along part of the bank - looks really good when everything's in flower.

Thanks for ideas - I think after reading about wandering jew - I know what I don't want!.Don't really mind if native or exotic, just want something that is going to cover the unsightlybank and I don't have to look at weeds.

Pimelea prostrata, is a native very pretty flowers and is reasonably quick. Likes sun more than shade. Gazanias make a good show too and lovely flowers.
