Without getting a professional tradesman on the job what would be the best way to fix rust holes on the roof of a 20ft container, to stop it leaking from rain ? THANK YOU

I have one with plenty of holes,we just put a corrugated iron roof over it. Leaks all fixed.

You could cut patches of sheetmetal, and screw them over the holes with a mastic type sealant under the patch.

Yeah you could do that easier without the screws. MS sealer would be good.

this is we do regardless of holes. the big advantage is no water sitting on the container and it keeps a lot of the heat out. very well worth it. keep the iron 4" or so above the container so air can flow through. works brilliantly.

I was told that the tops of containers are designed to rust out so that they eventually sink if they go overboard. Globally lots do end up being washed off ships. I've built roofs over containers to solve the problem.
