Wondered if anyone watched Monty Don last night on Choice and could tell me what the tool was he used to make a hole in the ground for planting (I think it was bulbs). It was on a long handle and looked like a mini post hole borer, or an upside down round tin on a handle. Thanks

As far as I'm aware - they are just called bulb planters. A bit like a giant apple corer!

I bought mine at the Garden Centre years ago,they are available in all shapes & sizes.Mine looks like the first one with the red handle in ro42's link
