We saw plastic fencing cut into strips and tied in cones and placed over the carnations, much like tomatoe plants, tried it and works most excellent.

25 years ago I used to make them in about 2 minutes with wire and pliers, or old wire coathangers.

I bought some at Bunnings last weekend. Thy are called perennial hoops. Cost $5.00
