Montbretia. Yep, drinks roundup for breakfast. Google how to control it now you have the name . fairly common problem

Sorry only looked at the 1st photo. The 2nd photo is liverwort which is a lichen. You can spray with lime sulpher.

Liverworts are not lichens, they are liverworts. They are their own thing, related to mosses. Lichens are a different thing. Not related to mosses.

I love montbretia. West coast roadsides ( SI ) are alive with it right now, along with agapanthus, hydrangeas, and tiger lilies. All garden escapees but they're extra efficient at hiding roadside rubbish and dumped TVs which are ubiquitous over there we found recently.

Orange flower is a Watsonia Bulb. Very difficult to remove. Spraying doesnt work as the bulbs multiply furiously! Only thing I have found is to dig it up bit by bit. The bulbs grown on top of each other. You HAVE to remove each and every bulb or else you'll be starting again! I have filled a green garden waste bin with said bulb. I think its also classed as a pest now.

As kids we pulled the orange flower off and sucked the sweet nectar from the end. I still do that today

Watsonia, very invasive.
Liverwort can be got rid of by using baking soda which is alkaline and mosses like it acid. Thats what they use in the plant nurseries.
I guess lime would get rid of the liverwort too but I know that the baking soda gets rid of it

Straight vinegar works well on liverwort.

definitely montbretia, not watsonia.

I got rid of mine but it took two years of removing bulbs whenever they came up
