Anymore recent opinions on the Aspira Washing Machine? Am looking at the 6.5kg top loader

I have the fridge / freezer pair and have had no probs in 12 months. good price $399 each.

I have had the Aspira upright freezer for 2 years now, no problems. it's not frost free though so I defrost every 6 months or so as the ice tends to build up at the top end. I use it for storing meat 'specials' bought in bulk so I don't open it up on a daily basis.

Really. I wondered who made them. So, glad I never bought one then, Google Haier reviews and there are pages and pages of bad reviews.

And that's not a recommendation. what is, is when you have say 1000 people who have owned one for 2 years and you see how many of that 1000 had problems.
Anything over 5% is crap. and Haier seems to be about 50%.

I love your 1000 sample size, 50% failure pontification. Show me the data of your extensive personal survey please.

I have a top loader Aspira washing machine and I wash everything on delicate as the spin speed seems far too fast even on delicate. Not entirely happy with it and wouldn't buy again.

But, But. But. The Warehouse has spent a lot of money on advertising recently to tell everybody that they do carry the "big brands"

is it any good? Can't seem to find reviews, or who's manufacturing them? They're sold only through the Warehouse I think?

ambo11, Jul 6, 2:03am
Made in India I think, washing machines have poor reviews for tangling and ruining clothes.

They are made by Haier, In fact they are Haier but rebadged. Ring the aspira hotline and you speak with a dedicated aspira person but it is actually F&P customer care line.
They come from China

thanks, I did read they come from the biggest whiteware manufacturer. so I guessed that would be Haier. Looking at the fridges/freezers (thankfully not washing machines!) - I see Haier has some really good reviews on those.
guessing not a heck of alot can really go wrong with fridges etc. ?

We have an upright freezer and its going fine, no issues. Brought from the Warehouse. We had heard that the lids on the washing machines are an issue from the shop assistant. .

We have a washing machine, upright fridge and upright freezer - all Haier. Washing machine is 6 years old and the fridge & freezer are just a few months old. When delivered, one of the flexi pipes on the washing machine leaked. Replaced the next day by Haier. They all work well.

cool :) I wonder why the alias - are they a cheaper version or made to the same standards as the Haier label? Hard to find much info

Same, just wanted to separate themselves from the big box store format as the Appliance retail market is already a tough market. They just want to keep the branding away from the predisposed ideas people have about the warehouse bought product. How do I know all this? I work at the warehouse and used to work for an independent appliance retailer. The sales rep is the same person.
