Dunedin is as bad! Has to be the weather but costing me a small fortune, with damn all sucess buying fly spray! Tried most brands to no avail, they are and both inside and out, NEVER had this before but still admit to loving this glorious weather.picnic down the 'Bay' today and not a fly in sight!

I hung fly paper right where they were 'clustering' and that sorted it, looks gross but $4 for a 4 pack at Mitre 10 Mega, no chemicals or dead flies to vacuum up, can't go wrong imo.

mine are not landing on the sticky papers this year. so I have resorted to getting one of those timer spray machines that puffs out every 15 min. I am supersensitive to the permethrin, so only have it on when I'm out of the house, seems to be helping. they are only $1 for the unit extra at present in the s/markets, than the replacement can. certainly driving me and the animals crazy

Yuk! we haven't had such a huge amount but lots on windowsills and outdoors. Think I will trya bomb in the roof space and otherwise flyspray and keep doors and windows closed until the season passes. Thought we had a bad case of them but obviously not as bad as those photos!

That sounds a good deal, Arabelle, will take a look after the Easter break.

Roopydoop #4 What brand of Bomb do you use!

according to Ruud, they leave a scent trail for others to follow - so if you can work out how they're getting in, and confuse the smell, you shouldn't get any more. They come in to hide in a dry warm place for the winter.

If I find any in the attic again, I'll vacuum them up!

holy hell, thought we had a problem but nothing like that.Sick of cleaning them up.

You may be surprised a lot of houses they are sitting between the building paper and the iron where you cant see them when you treat they soon come flying out.

Spray the outside of your house with Ripcord ,also do the windowsills inside aluminium window frames and door channels especially around the condensation drain holes .
Spray your lawns with an insecticide of your choice (diazinon is very effective but you need all the protective gear). They hatch from the lawns in two batches so you need to find out when this is for your area.
Treat every fly as bait for another 1000 as they keep coming following the pheremone scent ,while there is one left to produce it ,dead or alive.
Door and window channels will have dead flies in there ,you need to be meticulous in removing them .I use a battery vacuum with a narrow nozzle.

In Britain, I can buy 3GB over 30 days for UKP15 on a PAYG basis plus 10p per extra MB, which more than meets my needs (there's a 7GB over 30 days option FOR ukp25). That is rohlguy 13 cents per 10 MB. (Account plans are half that, with free modem). VfNZ still has a way to go.

This is getting a bit more sutcijbeve, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like Mixview' that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you're listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of neighbors will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune Social is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
