I thought these were epiphillums not cacti. Don't know the name of this one though.

Looks like mine I'm pretty sure its a christmas cactus or schlumbergera. Mine was massive until I divided it up and threw them outside in the rock garden, the flowers are magenta but I love your red.

Yes it is Schlumbergera.

i have both an epiphillum and xmas cactus, and it looks like an epip to me.

Epiphyllums? Never heard of them but according to google they're a member of the cacti family. Gosh they look so similar and drat I can't find a photo of mine to compare. Learn something new everyday on these boards.

the flowers maybe similar, but the leaves are totally different

I have something similar up in the palm trunk that I think is an epiphyllim that's been flowering profusely with huge cream coloured blooms about 5 inches across. Terrific display. There's something out in the garden on that side that smells quite heavenly but I'm not sure where it is lol

Is this Schlumbergera or Christmas cactus like what our mothers and grannies called the inch plant? Same family? I had something of Mum's in a pot that she called Christmas cactus but it's long gone and I can't recall what it looked like.

Oh that's what I am smelling, then. It's lovely coming through the windows in the evening. Thanks!

Its an Epiphyllum ( jungle Cactus) . They grow in dappled sunlight or shade & like a lot of water in summer. They are for sale on TM & come in many colours.
