I have a new mixer and shower head. what is the way to turn the hot water off?I have a tank in the roof above water cylinder that fills up wen hot is used .

If there no shut off valve under hot water cylinder you will need to turn water off at street and then turn some hot taps on. Water will take about ten minutes to stop running out of hot taps.

Or get up in the roof space and shove a cork in the outlet to the cylinder. That way you will save a supply tanks worth of hot water.
